What began as a simple traffic stop ended with police confiscating an illegally-modified weapon, a stolen handgun, meth and more.

Walla Walla police conducted a traffic stop Wednesday evening near South 3 Street and West Poplar and found a ton of goodies.

The driver, Moises Castillo-Flores of College Place, was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun, an stolen handgun, meth and various other drug-related items.

They also found a smoking device, believed to be used for meth. It will be tested at the state crime lab.  Flores was taken into custody as he was also wanted on an outstanding robbery warrant and driving on a suspended license.

The reason he was pulled over? A simple traffic violation.
