Speeding Driver Gets Passenger Nailed (Wanted on Warrant)
A wanted suspect was nabbed in Stanfield, OR, this week when the person he was riding with decided it was OK to commit negligent driving.
33-year-old Carlos Lurma was as passenger in a car driven by an unnamed female when she decided to have a lead foot.
She was pulled over for blasting through town, ended up getting a negligent driving ticket. But Lurma got a ride to jail. As often police do, acting on a hunch, he asked for both persons' ID. The officer learned Lurma was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The woman got a big ticket, and Lurma got a "new" driver to take him to the Umatilla County Jail.
