WHAT LED TO PASCO MANHUNT?
Pasco Police were looking for 23-year-old Jesus Alejandro “Alex” Payan in connection with a stabbing that took place on Lewis between 9th and 10th, possibly in an alley not far from the Metro Mart and the Jones Motel.
Officers say the 19-year-old victim suffered life-threatening wounds to his chest and arm, but was able to be treated and is in stable condition. Apparently, the victim was located after Police got a call early Monday from the Thunderbird Motel about a man walking along trying to get to a friend's apartment for help.
Payan was identified as the suspect, he is well-known to Pasco Police. He was said to be frequently homeless and was considered armed and dangerous.
However, after releasing the APB on him, Pasco Police got a call from a relative saying Payan wanted to turn himself in, which he did Wednesday. He's now facing multiple charges related to the stabbing as well as two outstanding warrants.
