The public forum to gather input on the implementation of I-502 (the measure that legalized recreational marijuana) has been pushed back to Thursday.

Officials with the Washington State Liquor Control Board changed the Yakima location from the City Council Chambers to the Convention Center, after seeing overflow crowds as previous meetings in Spokane and other cities. The need to find a large location necessitated moving the forum back one week. It was supposed to take place last Thursday.

The forum is open to the public to gather input from citizens on how they want the state's new marijuana law to be implemented. This covers where the marijuana will be grown, who will grow it and how it will be sold in state stores.

The event will start at 6 p.m. This will be the only remaining public forum in Eastern Washington. The final event is scheduled for March 7 in Bremerton.

State officials plan to have the marijuana stores open and running by December 2013.
