Suspect Sought After 100MPH West Richland Police Chase
West Richland Police and other law enforcement officers are searching for the passenger in a wild 100MPH chase that ended in a crash Tuesday.
Around 10AM, a West Richland officer attempted to pull over a vehicle that had what police said was the "wrong" license plate displayed. However, after stopping and asking the female driver to step out and be questioned separately, she sped away.
The chase ended up on I-82 westbound, until the suspect's truck crashed off the road into an orchard. Both the female driver and her passenger fled into the trees. She was caught, he was not. He's been ID'd as Steven Ray Yahne, age not given.
Anyone who knows him or his whereabouts, you're urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
