Suspect Sought in Multiple Drive-By Shootings Busted by KPD, Marshals
A 19-year-old man is in the Benton County jail on charges related to at least one drive-by shooting incident.
But the crime, that for now, appears to be the one that will put the suspect away is from July of this year.

Since October, KPD Detectives have been working with other agencies to find leads and suspects in several drive-by shooting incidents.
But the crime, that for now, appears to be the one that will put the suspect away is from July of this year. Police were able to utilize evidence that included shell fragments and casing and other items to link him to an incident that happened in the 1900 block of West 6th.Ave.
Based upon established probable cause, Kennewick Officers and US Marshals exercised a nationwide arrest-extradition warrant for Miguel Vargas.
He was taken into custody without incident, Officers didn't say specifically where he was arrested.
The investigation continues to see if he is linked to the other shootings from October, which they suspect he is.
