Drive By Shooting Near Winco Leaves Casings, Rattled Neighbors

Kennewick Police have some shell casings to go off of, hoping for more vehicle descriptions. This is a view of shooting area, looking north on Volland from Winco.

Late Night drive-by shooting just north of Winco Foods

Around 10:23 PM Kennewick police responded to the 400 block of North Volland St. just north of Winco Foods, for a report of shots being fired.

Witnesses said two vehicles appeared to be "chasing each other" and the occupants of one vehicle fired several shots at the other.

No injuries have been reported, so far, and no surrounding buildings or property was reported hit.

The shooting area did rattle some residents, as it's just a few yards from the busy Winco Foods parking lot. The investigation continues.
