Suspicious Car Behind Business Leads to Felony Arrests
Sharp eyed citizens who see things that 'just don't seem right' are often responsible for helping people catch people up to no good, and sometimes results in wanted suspects being captured.
Late Sunday night, police got a call about a suspicious vehicle sitting behind some businesses in the 3100 block of West Clearwater. Most of the establishments were closed, and it 'didn't look right' according to the reporting person. The vehicle was running but had the headlights off.
When police units arrived to check it out, they found a felony warrant suspect, David Gunkel-Rust, and Steven Miranda, who had a .45 caliber pistol on his person. He was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Both are now in the Benton County jail.
