Kennewick Police and Fire Investigators are calling it "suspicious."

Late Tuesday evening, around 11:10 PM, Kennewick Fire Crews and Police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Arthur, very close to Kamiakin High School, for a report of a car fire.

When they arrived this vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, crews were able to extinguish the flames before the gas tank went up, but the vehicle was a total loss.

The interior was completely consumed, all that's left is the metal frame and a few other parts.

No word on how it may have started, anyone who might have information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads and tips can be confidential.

Some nearby apartment buildings were notified and evacuated as a precaution, no other buildings or any persons were damaged or hurt. It was most likely the Tanglewood Apartments that were evacuated, at 465 North Arthur.
