It may seem Japan is on the other side of the world (and technically it is), but when an earthquake strikes we do need to be concerned in the Pacific Northwest!

Not one but 2 minor earthquakes rattled central Washington state. The 1st one shook just before midnight 8 miles from Wenatchee and measured a magnitude 2.1
If you haven't heard of the Cascadia Subduction Zone, you will. It's that huge fault that lies between 50-60 miles off the Pacific Coast, ranging from California up Oregon and Washington's coasts. And experts now say it could be due to move big time within the next 50 years.
But it goes beyond being a publicity stunt. Recent seismic events of the Pacific Coast have many experts believing we're going to get a 'big one' in the next few years or decades.
