Earthquake Felt Near Toppenish Thursday Around Noon
The U.S. Geological Service (USGS) says it was 3.4 on the Richter scale.
No damage or injuries were reported, two people were said to have called the USGS to report they felt tremors around noon. No official word on how long the tremors lasted, but it was long enough to register on USGS monitoring equipment.
No 911 calls were made, according to Yaktrinews.com.
According to the USGS website, the depth of the quake was estimated to be about 6.9 Kilometers, or approximately 4.2 miles deep. 3.4 is considered relatively minor on the Richter Scale.
