Senator Judy Warnick (R-Moses Lake) is demanding the WA State Department of Ag look thoroughly into Inslee's apple stunt. Search for tainted apples now expanded to Chelan County as well.
Apple maggots are fast spreading, stubborn and very hard to eradicate, say Douglas County Officials. Inslee's numerous crates of apples from Governor's mansion may result in spread of insects in 'clean' growing zones.
One would think his 'handlers' (advisors) would know enough to remind him you can't legally transport apples from infested Western WA, to clean zones on the East Side. Beyond the technical law, it exposes voracious pests to our clean crops.
