You remember the massive Japanese tsunami in 2011 that not only wreaked devastation on the Fukishima nuclear plant, but also created a tidal wave that killed or injured many people. It also sent a huge ripple of water towards the East, the U.S. Pacific coast.

A Kraken is a mythical creature who lived in the depths of the ocean. Resembling a giant squid, sailors told stories of how it allegedly grabbed ships, wrapped its tentacles around them and dragged them to the bottom. The stories and pictures were embellished until the creature had a gaping mouth and sharp dagger teeth...

In a few months, these stories will be old hat, perhaps.  But for now, it's fascinating to see what washes up next on our shores from the Japanese tsunami from last year.
