It all started with some persistent emails and phone calls....

In 2012, Zeke Castro of Othello contacted Taco Bell and requested that a store be built in Othello.    Over the weekend,  Taco Bell sent the same road crew seen on TV ads delivering tacos to Bethel, Alaska, to Othello and handed out thousands to the residents.

What Castro didn't know at the time was, it was a surprise ground-breaking for a new store that will be built in Othello!   Local franchisee Craig Langel will be opening the new store in the fall of 2013. Now, Othello residents won't have to drive 90 minutes to Moses Lake for their fix, or down to Tri-Cities.

The Taco Bell Team has been visiting numerous communities across the U.S., and responding to people's emails and requests, much like Zeke's, about opening new franchises.   Taco Bell's goal is to add some 2,000 more stores in the U.S. over the next decade.
