Thief Makes Off with Nearly $1,500 Worth of Clothes, But Gets Nailed

Most stories of shoplifters involve items anywhere from $20-25 to a few hundred. This guy tried to clean out a retail store in Kennewick. And, he got caught.

Sunday, police responded to one of the stores in the 1300 block of Columbia Center Boulevard, the Tri-City Center shopping plaza.

23-year-old Lavanndre Saab allegedly made off with $1,497 worth of clothing(!). Police caught up with him after getting the call from store security. When confronted in the parking lot, he tried to run, but was quickly 'overrun' by officers and captured.

He's now facing felony charges for the incident.
