Traffic Stop Leads to Likely Stolen Vehicle, Gun on Board?

Monday night, Kennewick Officers were running the plates on the red PT Cruiser pictured in our story.

Police didn't say what led up to the check, but they found the plates did not match the vehicle. Two suspects inside were detained, police said they didn't resist.

In one picture Police said it appears there's the handle of a firearm sticking up between the seats. No other information has been released, nor has the location of the incident--likely because it's still under investigation.

Often times when the police believe there could be other suspects involved or further criminal activity, they won't spill a lot of beans. The vehicle has been impounded as part of the investigation.
