Governor and GM Bob Tory of the Tri-City Americans said today the team has signed their WHL 1st Round Draft Pick Marc Lajoie (pronounced Luh-Jshuwa) to what's called the standard WHL Player Agreement. He was the first player they took in the WHL draft earlier this month.

Lajoie, who is a 15-year-old 6'2" 205 defenseman, scored 12 goals and 30 points in only 20 games for the Northern Alberta Xtreme Bantam Prep.

Tory has this to say about the highly-touted prospect:

“We are excited that Marc and his family have decided to join the Tri-City Americans family for his hockey pursuits, stated Tory. He continued, “Marc is a dynamic defenseman who possesses tremendous leadership potential.”
