Trade will allow him an opportunity to play as an overage, or 20-year-old, next season in the WHL.

Wil Tomchuk, a 19-year-old list player (undrafted) from Ft, McMurray, Alberta, joined the Americans in April 2012.   In his second season with the club, he was off to a solid start, but has missed the last 14 games with an upper-body injury.

The 6'2" 185 defenseman  has played in 90 WHL games, scoring 1 goal, with 4 assists and 61 penalty minutes.    Tri-City will receive a conditional 2015 Bantam Draft pick from the Cougars.
