Try to Recycle Your WA Cans in OR and You’re in Big Trouble, Mister.

I keep forgetting that every single damn thing in the world revolves around money. How come they did THIS and not THAT? Money. Why do  something that makes sense when it's just plain cheaper to do the thing that doesn't make sense...money. As goes the reason the state of Oregon wants to fine you up to $250 if you recycle containers from Washington, in Oregon. You see, Oregon pays better for recyclable materials, and they don't want your cheap WA stuff recycled in OR.  It's really not about the environment, it's about...........you guessed it......money.
