Stamford Connecticut authorities say three TSA agents, along with a State Trooper and a police officer have been charged in connection with a smuggling ring trying to bring painkiller meds into the country.

According to prosecutors, the charged officials helped distribute and transport illegal shipments of oxycodone pills from Florida, to Connecticut and New York in exchange for cash, and also helped route the profits back to Florida.  Federal prosecutors did not specify initially what airports the 3 TSA agents were working at.   More information is expected.  This is the latest arrest involving illegal activity by TSA agents.
