Officials did not say if they know what caused a two-vehicle collision early Thursday morning that sent two teens to Good Sheppard Hospital in Hermiston, Ore.

The Umatilla County Sheriff's office reports the collision, between a pickup and the red Oldsmobile pictured, occurred shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Feedville and South Edwards Roads near Stanfield.

The boy driving the truck was 16 and his 19-year-old female passenger both were injured and taken to the hospital.

The woman had to be cut from her vehicle, according to Yaktrinews.com.

Authorities originally wanted to airlift them via Lifeflight helicopter but foggy conditions made that impossible.

Their conditions at this time are not known.
