Vehicle Thief Drives Off with Fencing Stuck Under Truck

Kennewick Police nab would-be truck thief
Blaring alarms at a Columbia Drive auto dealership drew a swarm of Kennewick Police units early Thursday morning.
Aro9nd 4:52 AM officers arrived at a dealership in the 1100 block of Columbia Drive and found a Ford F-150 nearby that appeared to have been driven off the lot. One of the more glaring clues was the truck was dragging some of the lot chain link fencing underneath the suspension.
It also had damage consistent with a vehicle having been driven through a fence.
Officers executed what they said was a "high-risk" stop they apprehended the male suspect, whose name was not released. He's in the Benton County jail facing at least Burglary, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Theft 2, and Malicious Mischief charges.
No word on the damage amount done to the truck. From the photos and location, it appears it was the lot just to the west of Overturf Motors.
