Wanna Do Something Different This Cinco de Mayo?
Yes, there will be tacos, tequila, and a bunch of people celebrating Cinco de Mayo! Maybe a good idea to work off all the excess in the evening is to get some exercise in during the day. If you'd like to take a nice hike and learn a little something, check out the Wallula Gap Hike. It's being put on by The Reach, and Geologist-author, Bruce Bjornstad, will point out ice-rafted erratics, spillover channels, and other features of the Ice Age Floods. This 4-5 mile hike will bring you to the 800-foot-tall cliffs of Columbia River basalt. Transportation and lunch are included! So do something a little different this May 5th, and hey, you'll be back in time for tequila anyway, so you can do both if you like!
