The Kennewick Criminal Apprehension Team didn't say if a tip resulted in the capture of a wanted suspect, but a multiple warrant suspect is behind bars.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Richard Rotter, who was wanted on seven outstanding warrants and multiple counts of felony eluding, was captured north of Pasco near Foster Wells Road.

Authorities say he was found hiding in the trunk of a car, and resisted arrest. Kennewick K-9 units and Benton County Sheriff's were able to locate him, along with help from Pasco police, Franklin County Sheriff's and U.S. Marshals.

Rotter had been seen March 19th near 4th and Olympia in Kennewick, but chose not to pursue his vehicle due to the danger he would pose to the public during a chase. The suspect vehicle was located north of Pasco leading to his eventual arrest.
