You've probably heard the news about the failing, tainted city water system in Flint, Michigan. What you might NOT know is the shocking policy adopted by officials concerning illegal aliens.

The city, 66 miles from Detroit, discovered it's water system is contaminated with lead from old corroded piping. The feds stepped in after the city chose to stop buying water from Detroit, and proceed with it's own renovation of the pipes.

The feds had been providing bottled water and other logistical help for the residents, but during this process, illegal aliens were being left out because of their status. A group that calls itself the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and other organizations pressured the government, blasting them over this procedure.

Of course, if you're here illegally, breaking the law, one would think you're not entitled (legally) to government benefits. However, the feds and local officials have caved. Now, not only are illegals receiving the same benefits, but officials have granted what is called "water amnesty," they're NOT enforcing federal immigration laws.

DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, will not be enforcing immigration (and security and terrorist related) laws in Flint. According to Judicial Watch, this practice has been enacted before in other areas where disasters have occurred, calling them "tornado" or "earthquake" or "hurricane" amnesty.

According to Judicial Watch, when the National Guard went door to door delivering water and other such supplies, these illegals were afraid to open their doors because they feared being caught and deported. This according to the ADL.

Now, the Obama Administration has stepped in, and the water amnesty will be in effect until a permanent solutions is finished for the city's water system.
