It's Wet Nose Wednesday and this week we are featuring two brothers that need a loving home, either together or separately.
Here are the details on the bros:
Age: approx. 4-5 months old
Gender: Male (both)
Breed: Akita mix
Color: black
Kurō and his brother Hatchi are approx. 4-5-month-old Akita mix pups who were dumped in Eltopia and left to fend for themselves. They were found by a nice lady who let them hang out in a horse barn for a few days until fosters could be found. Once they became settled into their foster homes, it became apparent that they likely spent the first part of their lives as outdoor only dogs. Their foster families are working with them to help them learn the rules of pleasures of indoor doggie life.

Kurō (means black in Japanese) is learning how to walk nicely on leash, basic obedience such as sit and how to co-exist with kitties. He is a quick learner, almost fully potty trained after just a couple weeks and crate trained. Kurō LOVES his squeaky toys and playing fetch, and you can often find him falling asleep in strange positions. He is doing great with his doggy foster siblings but still trying to gain confidence. Kurō will require an experienced doggy owner who is ready to continue helping him gain confidence and has a secure fence in his new home. Kurō has not been around children.

Hatchi (his ears stand) LOVES children and never plays rough or bites. His favorite playmate is his 14m old foster human sibling. He is a quick learner, but a bit cautious of new things so it takes him a bit to warm up. He is still working on potty training but has made huge strides and knows how to use a doggy door but not quite how to ask how to go out all the time yet. He loves doggy toys but is still learning what is for doggies and what isn't. Hatchi will need an experienced dog owner with patience and the willingness to work with him on a regular basis to help in gain confidence and a securely fenced yard in his new home. Hatchi can live with other pups with a slow introduction as long as they are of the easy-going sort. He has not been exposed to cats.
