If you have any business to be done at the Benton County Sheriff's Office in Prosser or Kennewick over the next two weeks, you will need to do it elsewhere if you can, or reschedule.

Friday morning the Department released information that their two offices will be closed to the public until Monday, August 16.

The reason given for the closure was COVID exposure. The Department apologized for any inconveniences but said they have to keep the public safe.

If you happened to have a fingerprinting appointment, or scheduled CPL (Concealed Pistol License) event, they will be rescheduled. The Department said they will be contacting those with such events about when they can have them performed.

No other details were released concerning this other than the public office closure.
