The bomb was found last Friday, detonated by the Washington State Patrol bomb squad, and now authorities are looking for help finding who left it there.

The bomb, about 12 inches long and nearly two inches in diameter, was left near the intersection.   Benton County Sheriffs officials said any tips or information from the public would be greatly helpful.

Authorities didn't disclose exactly what explosive materials they thought were inside the device, but from it's construction and size,  the decision was made to detonate it at the scene, rather than risk any injuries.  A device that size could have caused significant injury to anyone close by.
