Why Did Homeless Woman Try to Kidnap Yakima Child?

A woman is in the Yakima County jail facing attempted kidnapping and other charges after she allegedly tried to 'steal' a child from her father.

During a Cinco De Mayo festival in downtown Yakima, a man and his girlfriend were dancing with his child when they were approached by a 23-year-old woman around 7pm on Yakima Ave.

She allegedly threatened the couple then grabbed the girl and ran. It was the girl's aunt who caught up with her first, wrestled her to the ground and saved the girl. Police arrested the woman on attempted kidnapping and other charges.

She also might need a psych evaluation as she reportedly told the couple in front of witnesses that her daughter had been taken "so I'm going to take yours."  creepy!
