Woman Arrested for Drinking Box of Wine in Convenience Store Bathroom

Usually shoplifters wait until they're OUT of the store!

Boise police report a 48-year-old woman is in police custody after she allegedly drank an entire box of wine in a convenience store bathroom.

Karen J. King reportedly took the box into the bathroom. The clerk became suspicious after she was in the bathroom for a lengthy amount of time then quickly left the store without the box. The clerk found the empty box on the bathroom floor.

She was quickly located and arrested by Boise police -- after being taken to a nearby hospital because her blood alcohol content was dangerously high.

King was arrested the day before for stealing a box of wine from a different convenience store. She had been released pending a court date. She's now been charged with felony theft.
