A pair of Kennewick burglary suspects learned ducking out the back door doesn't always work.

Thursday evening, Kennewick Police were called to the 500 block of West Kennewick Ave. after a neighbor reporting seeing two people entering a home in the neighborhood that was known to be unoccupied at the time.

Upon arrival, officers surrounded the property. Then they noticed two suspects darting out the back and into the alleyway. They were quickly apprehended and identified as David Jones (59) and Jennifer Briones (43).

Police found a number of stolen items in their possession, also nearby surveillance cameras netted them some images and footage of their actions. The two are now facing Residential Burglary charges, and hey may also be facing charges for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers also say Briones is being investigated for possibly possessing stolen checks.
