Zillah Home Invasion Suspect Still At Large say Police

A man who broke into a Zillah home around 4am is still being sought.

Zillah police and Yakima County Sheriff's say the resident was able to fight off the invader, despite being hit with a firearm.

Authorities say the suspect was a white man, between 5'7" and six feet tall, medium build, wearing a dark-colored hoodie and jeans. After forcing his way into the home on Carlsonia Street, he struggled with the resident then hit him with the gun and demanded money and valuables. The resident was able to get way and call 911, and units quickly responded.

They tracked and chased the suspect, but then the K-9 unit lost the scent. Witnesses reported seeing a dark colored SUV speeding away from the area at high speed.
