Pasco police spent hours investigating a 4th of July evening shooting incident that ended up closing Lewis St between 15th and 17th for a number of hours.

Authorities didn't release a lot of information, but did say there was a shooting and a vehicle collision, between the two pictured here.

One of them ended up through a fence. Police closed off Lewis St. between 15th and 17th, it was not reopened until after midnight Wednesday morning. According to our news partner KNDU-TV, the person driving the SUV was shot and drifted off the road, hitting the fence.  Apparently nearby surveillance video is being examined for more information.

The driver was injured, flagged down a motorist, and was eventually taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center. No word on their condition. Police say the suspect fled the scene.
