Benton County Sherriff’s deputies now say the death is considered a homicide.

55-year-old Mike Edward’s body was discovered in the parking lot of the Assembly of God Church on North River Road around 7:40 a.m. Sunday.

The church is located about a mile from his fifth-wheel RV home in the Elm Grove RV park. Officials said he was found near a shed on the church property. Nearby, a yellow 1960s Ford Mustang was parked with the driver-side door open. Authorities also said a red baseball cap was found.

Witnesses said authorities were investigating the lot, and what appeared to be evidence markers dotted the area. No further details were released.
