September 20th, an inmate at the Benton County jail collapsed and staff were unable to revive him.

29-year old Jose Francisco Ramirez-Roque was in the exercise room at the jail at the time of the incident.  He was rushed to Kadlec Medical Center, but emergency workers were unable to revive him.

Benton County coroner John Hansens performed an autopsy on Ramirez-Roque and found he died from a pre-existing heart condition, and death was due to natural causes.

Officials did not specifically say if exercise triggered his collapse.  The case continues to be investigated by the Benton County Sheriff's office.
