The direction of the proposed Manhattan National Park Project at Hanford is going to be guided by comments from citizens, including you!

The public has until August 28th to review the plans to turn part of the historic Hanford area into a national monument, saluting the nuclear heritage and history of our nation.  The historic B reactor and other important structures that were part of the Manhattan Project in World War II will be included.

To review the plans and offer your comments, you can visit the official website.  We invite you to check it out, because we live in such a unique area, a one-of-a-kind region that forever helped shaped the history and future of the world.

Hanford will be part of a three-part plan which include the historic nuclear sites at Oak Ridge Tennessee, and Los Alamos New Mexico, who also played a big role in our nuclear heritage.
