Officials continue to investigate the wounding of a 25-year-old man who was found in his car early Friday morning.

  Just after 3am,  police responded to a call from a resident in the area of 4815 West Clearwater, who reported hearing a number of gunshots nearby.

While on their way to the call, officers spotted a vehicle they say was possibly related to the incident.  After pulling the car over, they found the driver, Khiry Jackson, had a single gunshot wound to his body.

The seriousness of the wound was not disclosed but Jackson was taken to Trios Emergency Room at Southridge  (formerly Kennewick General Hospital) for evaluation.

No other information was released by police, the investigation continues.  4815 West. Clearwater Ave. is the address for the Columbia Mobile Home Village, which is on the South side of the intersection of Clearwater and Arthur,  just West of WinCo Foods.
