A man in Moses Lake was charged with burglary and robbery after accompanying his sister to confront her ex-fiance last March. This week police agreed to drop the charges to disorderly conduct after realizing the problem arose from his sister paying all the boyfriend's bills.

The couple has broken up, but apparently still arguing over shared property.

First, the ex reported his car stolen. The car is in his name, but the sister said she makes the payments.

Next, the sister and the man in court went to the apartment, which she no longer lived at, but paid the rent for. That's where the burglary charge arose.

Lastly, the sister took the ex's phone because she paid for it, hence the robbery.

Because a fight did ensue, authorities settled on disorderly conduct.
