Man Arrested After Gun Incident in Kennewick Apartments

The Kennewick SWAT Team and officers apprehended a suspect after they alledgedly fired a gun at a Kennewick apartment complex Monday.

The name of the suspect was not available, but police say the standoff began earlier in the morning when officers got a call about a person with a gun, and shots were fired inside an apartment at 100 N. Irving,  off West Clearwater.  Police and SWAT Teams surrounded the area, some residents were evacuated for safety.  According to reports, the inital call was for a suicidal person with a gun.   The suspect, a male, was apprehended, then taken away in an ambulance.  No information was given if the man shot himself.  Police continue the investigation.
