Where's John?  James?  Bethany? Mary?  Not among the most popular baby names in WA State for 2010.

The Washington State Department of Health tracks all sorts of statistics about babies born each year in our state, including the top ten most popular baby names.   And the results?  For 2010, the list for boys included:   Noah,  Logan,  Daniel, and Alexander.   For girls,  Madison, Emily, Ava, and Emma.   How did these compare with national statistics?  For the complete lists and more information click here.   The changes over the years have been interesting.  In 1980,  the top boys  lists included names such as Michael, David, Justin and Ryan.  For girls in WA state in 1980, people were naming their children Sara, Jessica, Melissa,  and Amy, just to 'name' a few.
