A 40-year-old Pasco man is facing at least assault charges after allegedly pointing a shotgun at an officer Thursday night.

Authorities say Christopher Murphy was involved in an argument at a home in the 1200 block of Road 68.  When officers arrived,  he allegedly left the house carrying a shotgun, and 'displayed' it towards them.

Despite police firing several shots at Murphy, he went back inside the home, but later came out and surrendered. He's facing felony assault charges, as well as court order violations.

What the court order violations were was not revealed by police.
