Bronka Sundstrom survived a WWII concentration camp and eventually found her way to Tacoma with her husband. She loved hiking and eventually retired closer to the mountain where she hiked regularly.

She reached the summit, with help, at age 77 and holds the record for oldest person on top of the mountain. Her story is incredibly inspiring and reminds us of the peace and strength that can come from a fulfilling hobby, exercise and the great outdoors.
