Rep. Anthony Weiner To Resign Today

Today at 11am Pacific Time, Rep. Anthony Weiner will hold a press conference announcing he will step down in the wake of his sexting scandal.
Weiner allegedly carried on relationships via text messaging, Twitter and Facebook with six different women over the last three years. The most recent revelation was from a former adult movie actress Ginger Lynn, who said Weiner asked her to lie about their on-line affair. Had Weiner not announced he was resigning the House Ethics Committee likely would have launched an investigation; the committee began to lay the groundwork for that this last Monday. Assuming Weiner does step down, a special election will be held to replace him with someone else to represent his New York Congressional District. Fox News Channel will carry the press conference live and there will be updates from Fox News online.
