Fortunately, it was a non-injury accident, but blocked the Highway for some time Monday.

After completing an investigation into the accident involving two semis just West of the Dalles,  Oregon State Patrol officers have issued citations.

Monday afternoon just after 4pm, two large semi-trucks were side by side when the truck in the left lane, driven by 50-year-old Larry D. Hein of Portland, drifted to the left and collided with a Peterbilt driven by Mark Spooner, 49, of Boise, Idaho.

While neither driver was injured,  Spooner lost control of his rig, and veered left, crashing into the center concrete median barrier.  The truck became high-centered on the barrier, and traffic was blocked for several hours until the rig could be extricated.

Hein was cited for Failure to Drive Within Lane.
