Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies have released photos of a fast-moving fire that consumed a semi-truck loaded with hay Wednesday.

The semi was on State Route 260 near milepost between Connell and Kahlotus when the fire broke out. Fortunately, the driver was able to escape without injury, but the truck and load are total loss.

Plus the Franklin County Sheriff's Department and local firefighters were having to break apart the bales and spray them with water as they pulled them apart to ensure nothing inside was burning. Hay fires can be some of the most difficult to control and put out.

Deputies did not specify if the fire started with the truck or within the load.
