Richland police are still investigating a late-night incident Monday that saw a man end up being tasered after allegedly throwing a bike at police.

Just before midnight, officers responded to  call from a woman on Hood Avenue who told them her husband was suicidal.

A short time later he showed up at the home on a bike. The man began yelling at the officers, and sped up on his bike as he rode towards them, and reportedly tried to hit them.  One officer was able to push the man off the bike, after which he picked it up and threw it at police.

After refusing to comply with commands and to settle down, he was tasered. No officers were injured, the man was taken to the Benton County jail. No other information was released.
