It's boat race weekend and let's be honest, we love watching the boats flip. We're horrible! Everybody pray for no wind so the drivers will be safe. Watch this video of awesome hydro flips and then hope that nothing like that happens this weekend!

The 49th. annual Water Follies Hydroplane celebration will be descending upon the Tri-Cities this next weekend.

The Tri-Cities Water Follies Association Wednesday announced HAPO Community Credit Union will be the Title Sponsor for the 2014 Water Follies and Columbia Cup Hydroplane Races.

At any given time our radio stations have 2-3 excellent interns that come to us from Tri-Tech, Columbia Basin College, or are recent graduates from a university. The airshow for the Lamb-Weston Columbia Cup is going to have even more airplanes this year.

The Latin Comedy Jam is coming to the Three Rivers Convention Center Saturday, July 27, at 8 p.m. after the boat races! If you present your Water Follies passes the ticket office will give you 20 percent off!

On Wednesdays we talk about Water Follies! We had Kathy Powell and Dave Sanford in the studios showing off the brand-new programs for the 2013 events. Dave from Lamb Weston told us how more than 100 employees spruced up garbage cans and the gazebo in Columbia Park in anticipation of the event. The 48th running of the Columbia Cup plus the HAPO airshow will take place July 26-28 in 2013. Tickets for riverside venues are on sale now. Water Follies weekend passes for adults are $25 and children ages 6-12 are $10. Saturday-only tickets are $15 for adults and day passes for kids are $5.

It's Water Follies Wednesday so we're talking with Kathy Powell about the 2013 Water Follies! Today's emphasis was on the Follies' Miss Tri-Cities Pageant. This is the big one that sends winners to the Miss Washington and Miss America pageants.
