Tuesday was probably the biggest personnel shake-up the Tri-City Americans have seen in over two seasons as a whole.

Tuesday, the Americans placed Jackson Playfair and Semyon Krasheninninikov on waivers, traded Rodney Southam to Kelowna,  and then traded a pair of draft picks to get highly-touted forward Richard Nejezgleb from the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Nejezgleb is a big goal scorer, with 44 in his last 103 games, and is also a high draft pick of the New York Rangers.  General Manager Bob Tory spoke with Americans Broadcaster Craig West as to why the moves were made.
