The Kennewick School Board has a workshop as part of their semi-annual retreat Wednesday and in the evening, they plan to discuss the timeline for middle and h.s. students returning to hybrid.

There WILL be a public comment opportunity at the beginning of the meeting. Interested parents and citizens can CLICK HERE to go to comment area. According to the District, the comment window will not open until 5:15PM Wednesday.

If you click on it now, it will say no longer accepting responses, at 5:15PM Wed. should go active.

There will be 15 minutes of discussion and addressing input before the Board moves into it's retreat at approximately 5:30PM.

Last October, the Board was given a green light by the BFHD to start hybrid for middle and high school students effective November 2, but they surprisingly voted 3-2 against that move.  The vote triggered a recall effort vs. 3 of the board members, but that has since idled due to funding shortfalls.
