Although Franklin County Prosecutor Sean Sant received the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) report Thursday of this week,  it's not likely any resolutions will occur before summer is over.

Thousands of pages of information, enough to fill four large binders, includes hundreds of photographs as well as videos of the confrontation between Antonio Zambrano-Montes in February when he was fatally shot in Pasco.  He'd been throwing rocks at cars, passers-by, and police - hitting at least two of them.  Efforts to subdue him with a Tazer were also unsuccessful.

Sant will have to take at least a month to review all the evidence,  there are reportedly plans to release some of the information to the public.  The information will also be utilized as part of a rare Coroner's Inquest planned for August by Coroner Dan Blasdel.

The FBI has also received a copy of the report.  Blasdel says the circumstances of the situation are what prompted him to call for the inquest, which if it happens, could cost the county well over $10,000.  No other reports have been issued as to what the total cost of the investigation has been so far for taxpayers.
